Maxi problems...junk. garbage. crap. scrap. money pit. piece of s**t. after 5 years they're almost worthless. worst piece of junk i've ever owned and has ever been made. almost bankrupted me. i needed therapy after i dumped that garbage can and i still have nightmares. folks...if you value your mental health and financial wealth, don't do it, just don't do it.

Before was better man. That’s what is unique about the S54. BMW actually spend a lot of time getting it to sound “metallic”. They even modeled the sound around the Ferrari F355. This is one setup that must stay stock 🙏🏽

Having mine deleted, it failed visual inspection in CA at the smog shop. Now I need to find the old parts.

Going against my best judgment, but because I’m a car guy and we never forget our first car…I”m going to go look at a 15 R60 Mini Cooper S Countryman All4 today for my sons first car. It’s crazy, but it’s actually a financial decision besides the fun factor because in my area used cars go real high for common cars while they actually do not have that “actual” value in them so if I can get this deal done it will be a GREAT deal. If it works out, my son and I will dive deep into learning together and it will be good father son bonding experience. Thanks for the video, I’ve owned a RX8 so a little extra car really does bond the owner with the car.

Do not drill holes for the screws first and foremost.. secondly, whatever you see in this video, do the complete opposite.. The adapter screws are made tobsink into the shifter, therefore predrilling the holes (is stupid) will give way for said screws to loosen in a matter of days.. follow adapter applications please..

Hey Brother You can increase views dramatically if you became specific in your points. You don't give at what mileage Walnut treatment? 2. What years of cars you talking about? You simply speak without really giving pertinent specific details. Improve and you won't waste our time. Mine is 2019 clubman. Old minis had issues but newer ones don't. Mini now recommends oil changes after 10k miles. Please please please be specific if you want to help and show the parts and other stuff. Otherwise it's simply talk .

I just got my 2011 jcw with 116k, only had it 1x month and did timing job just to be safe , ko04 f21 and full support mods and custom tune and lol now I need to replace my clutch so I ordered a new flywheel and stage 3x 6x puck clutch

This part has oil going through it? Im finidng oil after changing the turbo. I changed the seals behind the oil filter housing and cooler. But it seems like it could actually be the diverter valve thats leaking. Cause there is oil dripping from the circular part below it that has the hose attached to it. Thay doesnt have oil in it so im suspecting the diverter valve. I havent got into it again yet but am going to. Does that oart indeed have oil running through it and could be leaking?

Your maintenance comparison to the RX7 and RX8 is accurate, I have owned both. And now on my third ownership of a Mini.

Mine is stuck on one side would this be the possible problem? But I can’t get it to open all the way or close all the way one side is down other is up

Love the USDM AMBER CORNERS. The white corners cool, but I just dig the stock Amber corners on any car. Sick ass ride! I just got a 2000 E46 sedan. I work on Japanese and American cars for a living, and am learning a lot about bimmers with my own car. It’s nothing to brag about, but it had 100k miles when I bought it. I love that I can maintain it myself. Would love to upgrade someday to an E46 M3. Keep up the good work🍻

@Bimmerdude my 2011 R57 cooper S intermittently seems to hit a wall at 5k revs when at full throttle, like a limiter, losing all boost. Could this be the issue? Seems to do it must in 3rd gear and once warm.

Would it be possible to to remove the big black pipe, cut the small hose inlet off for the "noise maker" and plug that hole with a piece of plastic and plastic weld? that way you dont have to cut the pipe, but you delete the thing you want to? Just an idea from watching this. Or, you can add a piece of rubber hose around the big black pipe, and clamp it down around the inlet hole you would cut off. That would seal the hole that is there and no more noise maker.
